Children and Youth

Something for Everyone
Some say that our youth are the church of tomorrow. At Heritage, we hold to the belief that they are the church of today! No matter what the age, Heritage has something to offer your child.

From our teen group, which is energetic and engaging, to Children's Church, all the way down to our nursery, we want to teach and share the love of Christ with your children and ours. In addition to our regular youth programs, special activities take place throughout the year.

 D6 Family
D6 stands for Deuteronomy 6:5-7 which commands dads and moms to take everyday opportunities to impress God’s Word upon the hearts of their children. D6 is foundational to raising spiritual champions for Christ. The framework put forth by D6 is something which we at Heritage rely on and believe in with all that we are.

Unfortunately, many parents have come to rely on the pastor, Sunday School teacher, or youth pastor to be the primary spiritual influence for their kids. D6 tells us this is the primary job and responsibility for dads and moms. We must be active in passing our faith along to our kids. It’s clear from D6 that, while church is a vital part of this development, it cannot stop there. It must continue in the home.

If you would like to know more about D6 and how you can apply it to your family, visit the D6Family site.

State Association of Free Will Baptists

The Free Will Baptist denomination is a fellowship of evangelical believers united in extending the witness of Christ and the building of His Church throughout the world. The rise of Free Will Baptists can be traced to the influence of Baptists of Arminian persuasion who settled in the colonies from England.  To learn more, please visit www.wvfwb.org.

Free Will Baptist Family Ministries

It was first established as Free Will Baptist Home for Children, an orphanage opened with Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Stanley as Superintendents. It was a humble beginning, but the care for orphans and other hurting children soon became a permanent facet of FWB Family Ministries. Today, our programs have expanded to meet the needs of the entire family. Over the last decade, we have witnessed many young people each year give their hearts and lives to the Lord. God is truly working at Family Ministries!  For more information, please visit the Free Will Baptist Family Ministries web site.
